Time flies like an arrow and new chapters are always replacing previous ones. A new year has just begun. It seems to me that the past year were gone so fast. As we look back, 2019 has been the most turbulent year for the global economy in recent decades and the most challenging year in the history of TCL. We’ve seized opportunities despite crises and made bold progress, reaching major annual KPIs. Therefore I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to all TCLers around the world for your hard work and to your families for their support! Thank our millions and millions of users and partners for their trust and support!

In the past year, we have successfully completed strategic restructuring. TCL has been split into two groups: TCL Corporation focuses on semiconductor display business and continue to strengthen industrial finance as it aims to transform to core-technology-intensive manufacturing; TCL Industrial Holdings pools smart device businesses under a partnership mechanism. The restructuring enables clearer development paths for both groups. Thus the development of TCL is driven by dual-engines.
In the past year, TCL’s overall performance has seen growth while remaining stable. Despite the difficult industry environment, TCL Corporation manages to sustain growth in sales revenue and keep profit at a stable level,leading to significant growth in its market cap; the restructuring has injected new vitality to TCL Industrial Holdings, in 2019 it has reached steady growth in sales and substantial improvement in profitability, ranking global No.2 in TV shipment.
In the past year, we’ve deepen the reform and transformation to enhance our core capabilities. We’ve conducted an in-depth review of our business conditions and identified existing problems and deficiencies, arriving at the path of “customer-centered, strategy-driven, innovation-oriented” to comprehensively improve and enhance our core capabilities; we’ve set a four-year development strategy with “global leadership” as the ultimate goal; we’ve upgraded TCL corporate culture which sets “accountability,innovation and excellence” as the core values.
Looking into 2020, we are full of confidence and passion. Lots of new challenges and opportunities shall be brought about by the restructuring of the global economic landscape and reshuffle of industries. Excellent companies will take advantages of the trend to develop while top ones among them shall lead the trend. All TCL business units share one and the same goal—“Reform and Make breakthroughs, Quality and Efficiency First for Global Leadership” and the same never-say-never sprit to inspire the lion’s heart in the C-level, the courage to reform in the middle-level and the strong implementation among the rank and file. That’s how we lay the spiritual foundation of a great cause and how we develop and become an industrial leader as we catch up with the benchmarks, solve problems and surpass strong competitors.
Success is achieved through hard work. 2020 marks the initial year of our global leadership strategy. We 90,000 TCLers shall go all out with full confidence to serve our users and customers, to contribute to TCL’s developmentand to reach personal fulfillment. 2020 is bound to be a milestone and a glorious year in TCL’s history.
