For our company itself, it is both a training and a demonstration. Sichuan is a major aviation province. Q: Your company is currently the general aviation company with the most qualifications and aircraft in the Southwest. What changes have taken place in your fleet and operational capabilities in the past two to three years?

Che Tianfa: From its establishment to the present, Hump General Aviation has gradually developed into a development model of helicopters and fixed wing “flying together” relying on the main body of the airport. In 2017, we introduced the Arora SA60L sports fixed wing on the basis of helicopters; in 2019, the Italian Vulcan V1.0 normal fixed wing, which is the exclusive domestic agent of Hump General Aviation, also arrived at the site and put into operation. At present, the total size of our helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft fleet has reached nearly 40. At the same time, with the support of government departments and leaders at all levels, from 2018 to 2019, we have successively completed the certification of CCAR135 and helicopter CCAR141. With the gradual development of the entire management and operation system from fleet to qualifications, When facing the market, it also gives us more confidence.

Q: It is reported that your company has strong operational capabilities and has a wide variety of operations. For these businesses, how do you arrange them, especially how to balance the relationship between core business and auxiliary business?

Che Tianfa: For a long time, our business segment has included flight training, commercial aviation operations, agricultural and forestry spraying, aerial tours, forest defense, power line inspection, and public service services such as inspection and rescue. In fact, these businesses seem to be independent sections, but in the final analysis they are inseparable from the building and growth of the pilot team. As companies in the general aviation industry begin to subdivide and focus on commercialized and regionalized markets, while retaining the past business, we also combine this trend to position and focus the entire market business on flight training. In one section, this includes helicopters and fixed wing two categories.

Such a focus, on the one hand, is that we have had a relatively mature and standardized flight training management and operation system and successful experience in the previous 6 years; on the other hand, with the benign and rapid development of civil aviation and general aviation, the pilot gap is still Existence, there is more room for exploration, experimentation and development in the supply and demand of the new force of pilots in both civil aviation and general aviation.

Q: Recently, your company has obtained the CCAR141 aviation school qualification. Does it mean that your company will carry out a larger layout in the flight training business? Does this new strategic layout have something to do with the Italian Vulcan aircraft introduced by your company?

Che Tianfa: After the company’s development over the past few years, we have discovered a phenomenon in the domestic pilot employment market. Those who have just graduated have only a few hundred hours of flying experience. “But it is extremely popular. Many airlines would rather spend a large price to go abroad to “dig out Lao Fei” than to hire “Xiao Fei.” Of course, we also understand that the essence of this phenomenon is that airlines have invested a lot, so everyone wants to use mature pilots, and is unwilling to spend time, energy, and risk to train “Xiaofei”, that is, there is no such thing in China. Let “Xiao Fei” grow into “Lao Fei” process.

Therefore, based on this status quo, we believe that the real use of general aviation companies lies in “training Xiaofei, let Xiaofei grow into old flying”. In fact, the United States, where the aviation industry is developed, is the same. A mature civil aviation captain may be a general aviation pilot before he became a captain. He has accumulated his flight experience in General Aviation and he has a clear “from general aviation to civil aviation”. Ascend the ladder.

Therefore, in 2016, our hump went to foreign countries to investigate aircraft and chose this Italian-made Vulcan V1.0 aircraft. The ability of Vulcan aircraft to come to China is also our country’s “One Belt One Road” initiative to build a very good platform for Chinese companies. As a leader in “One Belt One Road”, China-Europe Express will help to open up new roads for the Chinese general aviation market. The original shipping time of 45 days, the China-Europe freight train only took more than ten days. The China-Europe freight train from Lodz, Poland, Italy to Chengdu opened a direct route, shortening the distance between the European Mediterranean market and the hinterland of western China. The time is very fast. The safety factor is high and the cost is very low. Q: It is understood that the Vulcan aircraft is from Italy. Many people may be like me. They heard and knew about the Italian Vulcan aircraft only after introducing the aircraft from your company. Could you please introduce this aircraft? The original intention of introducing the aircraft, the introduction process, the current situation, and future plans?

Che Tianfa: 2.77 meters tall, 7.23 meters long, and 10 meters wingspan-this Vulcan V1.0 aircraft will be a substantial leap forward for the company in future flight training. Prior to this, most of the primary trainer aircraft used for flight training in China came from the United States. For the first time, we introduced the Vulcan V1.0 aircraft produced in Italy as the primary trainer, which is comparable to the same level of flight training trainer Cessna and West. Compared with sharp models and prices, Vulcan has greater advantages and is more advanced than Cessna in terms of electronic instruments. It can be said that this aircraft is an “upgrade” product of Cessna 172, which undoubtedly greatly reduces airline pilots. Training costs, especially for the development of China’s pilot training market and general aviation industry, play a very important role. The original intention of introducing this aircraft was to serve 141 aviation schools and upgrade the old trainer aircraft of aviation schools.

Our upgrade from training to a professional flight school will speed up the training of general aviation talents in the southwest region and effectively supplement the training capabilities of Chinese helicopter pilots. Che Tianfa: In recent years, Sichuan’s low-altitude reforms have seized the opportunity of reform pilots and promoted the development of the general aviation industry in the forefront of the country. Especially in the opening of the low-altitude flight channel of “three points, one line and four areas”, Sichuan General Aviation Corporation really realized the dividends of reform. Visually flying in the low-altitude channel, it only needs to call for report 1 hour in advance. It used to be several times faster.
