Designer Chen Jianning likes to explore creative design and craftsmanship, and often launches cross-border themed clothing such as clothing and culture, clothing and technology, combined with the use of high-quality natural fibers and new blended materials, while showing the connotation of each season’s theme Take into account the wearability.
Chen Jianning’s inspiration for each series of clothing comes from art, including paintings, photography, sculptures or art installations. In particular, it has a long-term cooperation with the artist Dai Mouyu, using clothing as a carrier to embody the spirit of art.
The JANET CHEN21AW series “Light and Shadow” is inspired by the ink and photography works of artist Dai Mouyu. Tells about the warmth of light projected in nature and the mottled flow on the paper through the artist’s hands.
Glossy caramel color and neutral light gray, black and white earth color are the main colors, supplemented by special winding Italian yarn wool as warm color embellishment. The Japanese high-standard, environmentally friendly cotton and blended fabrics are selected, and plant-based additives are used in the fabric production process. In terms of design details, knitting and woven are combined. Designer Chen Jianning especially likes to use woolen loops for plasticity.
In addition to the presentation of special weaving special yarn sweaters and woolen accessories this season, woolen fabrics are also used to imitate the wideness of woven fabrics and then combined with woven fabrics, which are both concise and tangible with layered plush tassel details.
In terms of fabric technology, the surface of the spun linen fabric is plated to form a special luster, which increases the fashion sense of the fabric. At the same time, the fabric has better formability and stiffness.
