CALICO Collection was established in 2017 by Luo Yuhao, a Chinese designer who graduated from the Royal College of Art (Royal College of Art) and was the first Chinese designer to collaborate with the international superstar Lady GAGA.
The brand is positioned as a light-luxury medium and young ladies' style, advocating a simple urban style, embellished with forward-looking trend elements, and the wearability and style complement each other.
Calico means white grey cloth, the foundation of clothing design and production, and the source of all creativity. “Return to the originality of creativity and design” is the creative purpose of the CALICO Collection creative team.
The brand advocates a simple, light and luxurious urban style, with creative techniques and design elements that are both rigid and soft, showing a new image of independent and intelligent women, and is committed to providing new fashion choices for elite women who have the ultimate pursuit of aesthetic design.
Luo Yuhao，Kyle YUHAO LUO，Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University. In 2011, went to the Royal College of Art (Royal College of Art) for advanced studies Graduated with honors in 2013 and won the opening honor of THE RCA SHOW.In the same year, Luo Yuhao's design work inspired by [Eastern Tenon and Tenon Joints] cooperated with LADY GAGA and won the attention of Western media.
In 2017, he founded the designer brand CALICO Collection with the original intention of creating fashionable wardrobes for Chinese women in the new era.2020YINGER PRIZE Global Emerging Women Designers Invitational Competition won the “Signed Designer” award.
The design theme of the brand this season is NEO-MODERNISM, which is also an interesting idea of the designer's travels in Paris. In this world-inspired capital, modern and classic are changing among the bright lights of the city. Whether it is LA TOUR EIFEL represented by modern architecture, avant-garde LE CENTRE POMPIDOU, or LA GRANDE ARCHE DE LA DEFENSE with a simple and futuristic sense, fashion and avant-garde artistic inspirations collide and sublimate. He decided to compose a series of Chinese clothes full of tribute for Paris in his memory, and let the “new modernism” bloom brilliantly.
